flight number 7!!

flight number seven for you buster!  way to go, world traveler!!

this flight we experienced our first brady tantrum - you really didn't want to go to sleep, but you were soooo tired, so you fought it a little - complete with back arching and screeching.  thankfully (THANKFULLY!) it only lasted about five minutes, and then you slept for just over two hours.  way to get it together, little man.  we appreciated it, and so did the people seated around us.

your first Christmas tree.

here it is!  your first Christmas tree buddy.  it's my favorite time of the year & i'm so excited to pass along to your our little traditions.  you didn't help us put the tree together this year, as it was past your bedtime.  but you absolutely loved when i laid you under it early the next morning.  you talked to the lights & grabbed at them.  i think you're a big fan already.

flight with aunt cake.

aunt cake (kate) got to take her first flight with the little bear cub over thanksgiving.  we loaded ourselves down like alpacas with enough baby paraphenalia to save the world, and the baby himself, and headed off to illinois together.  it was quite the experience, we laughed a ton and it was awesome to have her along to help with babykins.

we set up shop at the gate waiting to leave denver.  it's nice to have a big blankie to throw down so brades could stretch his legs a little, play with his toes, etc.  he's just pretty much wollered to death by the time we get anywhere when we travel, so it's nice to let him have some space.

by the end of the 2.5 hour flight to st.louis brady was DONE.  us too.  i think this picture depicts our travel scenario.  we just kept smiling through the thrashing - what else is there to do?  overall he was really great, the last few minutes were just a bit rough.

thanks for traveling with us kate!  had a GREAT time and look forward to many more adventures with us three :)

your aunt jane put up her Christmas tree early for you little man, since we were staying with them over thanksgiving.  you LOVED it.  you made lots of squeaks, coos and arm waving at it.  i think you're a big fan.

in the price family, we call this a chicken nest.  i'm not sure where or when it started but it's the perfect spot for a baby nap!  brady got his first from aunt yaya while we were in illinois for thanksgiving.

buster, you got to see all SORTS of relatives over thanksgiving weekend in illinois with the price family!  you were such a champ and just kept on charming everyone no matter who was holding you.  you didn't mind being passed around a gazillion times, and mama is so proud of you for that!!

little man, this is your great-great-grandpa eli hook.  he's a good man & i'm so glad you got to meet him.  he doesn't say much these days, but when i asked him if he wanted to hold you, he stretched out his arms for you.  i loved that.

and this is your great-great-grandma ruth hook.  she absolutely LOVED you and held you for hours.  you grinned a lot at her, which was so sweet.

thanksgiving is delicious.

thanksgiving is delicious for everyone!  brady especially loved trying his first baby food (besides cereal) while we were in illinois with the fam...he was really into peaches!  he didn't even mind sitting in a pink bumbo :)

first thanksgiving.

every year we have made a tradition here of hosting a friends & family local thanksgiving on the monday before the actual holiday.  it's such a wonderful time to get together with those we love most in colorado, give thanks, and share an amazing over-the-top meal!  this year we had 26 people here and we moved our living room furniture out of the way to accomodate everyone in our main room.  it was AWESOME to have such a huge series of tables set up together with everyone talking a million miles a minute and laughing and toasting.  thank you everyone for coming!!!

date night.

we went out for a date night with the huntingtons last night...sooo good to get away without our babies, and enjoy good company with some of our best friends & the awesome old town lights!  we are so lucky to have amazing babysitters that we trust with our little bean, and the time away is always refreshing for us.

first snow.

woke up to our first snow of the season today!!  it was so beautiful & serene this morning.   i got up about an hour before my boys, and loved having my coffee with the snow falling outside.  FAVE!

later this afternoon we headed out for a walk on the windsor trail & bundled little bear up.  he loves his walks, and totally grinned the whole time despite the chill.  he's going to be mama's boy, loving the snow the best!!

we could not be any happier that after six weeks of training in alabama, our hero is back.  our lives feel complete again.
