walking!!!

brady took his first steps on may 3, just after his 11 month birthday.

however, he's finally stable enough walking that we could get a video of it.

his panting, hands up in the air, and gradual seat at the end SLAY ME.

love him more than words, and each stage he's entered has been the best yet.

we did this over & over today.  i would give the rocks to you, and you would put them back.  i laughed so much at how like your daddy you are :)

at lunch this afternoon, brady kept laying his head down on the table.  we were dying laughing!  he hasn't done that before and we found it quite funny...especially when he came up one time with a sweet potato fry stuck to his face!!

i don't know why you thought this was so funny, but you were hysterical.  towards the end of the day you're always a little slap-happy & we think it's awesome.

crawling continues to barely evade his expertise :)  he's working hard on it though!!

today he sat himself up from a laying position for the first time unassisted!!  way to go bubs.  he does it right at the end of the video - it cuts out before you see the move completed, but he did it.  learning all these new tricks comes with a fair amount of frustration on his part though.  it's hard work!!

bubba had lots to tell me tonight about how his day was.  to translate: it was very exciting, and included several LONG naps (thank you bubba), bananas mixed with squash, lunch with a friend of mama's, and a good workout at the gym.

this child is on the MOVE!  he got up on his toes tonight and was rocking back & forth, and wiggling everywhere.  i think we are mere days from him figuring out how to crawl (God help me)!!
