tonight after our long day at ikea we had a delish crock pot potato soup for dinner.  i normally put B to bed before we eat dinner but he'd napped late in the car on the way home, and so he wasn't quite tired yet when we started eating.  he sat at the table with us for awhile & then as we finished up i set him on the floor to wiggle around for a few more minutes.  i guess he was pretty worn out afterall though, because he'd scoot around for a few seconds and then put his head down for a second to rest:)  it was SO entertaining!

ikea.

we made a big trip to ikea today - had a blast running around laughing & acting goofy with ellen & kate and of course bradykins.  he was a good boy for most of the trip, despite being quite bored with the ikea selections ;)  it's not really his thing.  what a good day!

aunt kake keeping him entertained in the pillow section.  by this point in the shopping, he'd had it in the stroller & let us know as much - so he won the free pass outta there and someone carried him the rest of the time.  it's good to be the first baby.

the blow-out necessitated an immediate bath & since we were mid-dinner-prep, kitchen sink it was!  thanks auntie suz for getting me all clean!!

when aunt yaya lifted B out of his dinner chair tonight, she noticed a little something and asked if i'd spilled spinach on him.  i said no - and it became obvious what had happened down below!  crazy baby wasn't even fussing about it, it was only because she took him out of his high chair that she noticed the explosion!!  the look on his face conveys his worry about the situation.

in an effort to help during clean-up, brady stuck his hands into the mess, kicked his heels into it, and chewed on a slightly used wipe.  excellent.

first tooth!!

we woke up this morning to brady's first tooth!  two days shy of nine months old. he was a little fussy in the morning yesterday but otherwise i had no idea he was this close to getting one!  he's been a drooly mess for the last four months pretty much daily.  as usual, he's such a mellow kiddo it didn't seem to bother him much. the left side middle has a bulge there so he's probably getting a second one soon.  way to go bubs!

brady is in the stage where he LOVES to open and close doors, drawers, toys with lids, etc.  he always makes a beeline for them!  time to start baby-proofing some cabinets!

little bug & i have been spending a lot of time at the gym lately as i work to get my body back.  good news is, i'm down to my pre-preg weight after the last six weeks of work.  but bad news is, i still have lots of toning to do.  things just aren't exactly what they were before!  brades loves to go to the gym daycare and always kicks his legs excitedly as i hand him over the counter.  i love knowing that he's having fun with new toys & friends in there while i get an uninterrupted hour to myself to sweat & listen to good music.  win-win!

rob, suzanne & maggie moved in with us this weekend - they are staying with us until they move to australia in april (sadness & woes).  brady is a huge maggie fan & follows her every move around the room.  he giggles and "talks" to her when she runs by him.  maggie is the world's best dog and tolerates all his screeches and "gentle" pats.  wish she was going to be around while he grows up - i think they would be the best of friends!!

found this adorable little chair at an antique store this week & i love it!  was wanting a chair for bubs as he gets older, my mom & dad have a little kids chair at their house and i think it's so cute.  this one came from an old methodist church & reminds me of the ones at my grandma and grandpa price's old church when i was little.  blast from my past + cute baby chubs in fleece jammies = perfection, in my book!

brady & i got our first joint shoveling done this morning.  it was a beautiful snow, and much needed.  we hadn't had any in far too long!!  i just put B in the ergo on me, bundled us both up, and out we went.  it was a lot of work shoveling with a baby strapped to my chest - but he seemed to enjoy it, looking around and babbling.  until i brought him in, when he was overheated & overdue for a nap and then he let me know how unhappy his situation was:)

first snow day!!

first snow day for B today!!  it has flurried a few times or snowed just an inch or so, but never a good solid snow like we've gotten the last 24 hours.  i was so excited to bundle him up and take a few pics of him in it.  he didn't seem to mind too much.  kind of treated it like sand, just inquisitive about it.  of course, it was hard for him to move much in the snow suit!!  but he looked ridiculously cute.

aunt kate stayed over last night so we could enjoy a snowy coffee, fireplace, pj morning.  it's been awesome having her here!  and brady is a big fan, too.

at what point exactly, did you start looking like a big boy bradykins?  you have less baby in you all of a sudden!!  still grateful for your bedtime snuggles, otherwise i'd think you were all little kid and no baby.  sweet pea, you're the best thing ever.

so grateful brady got the price side sleeping genes.  this kid can sleep ANYWHERE!  yesterday i had to unexpectedly get a tire repair on the truck - ran over a screw & it was going flat while i was out in town so i couldn't go home as planned for brady's afternoon nap.  i decided to just head over to the tire place, and hoped he'd fall asleep en route.  thankfully he did, and even more awesome was the fact that he stayed asleep for the entire hour & fifteen we were at the store.  despite all the noise, door opening, shouting tire guys, phone calls, blaring tv in the waiting room, etc.  way to go bubs!!

these two had a BLAST playing today.  they had lots to talk about (especially brady who was a complete SQUAWKER the whole time) & had a great time playing and rolling around together for a couple hours.  then both of them passed out asleep, and jen & i enjoyed some delicious afternoon coffee.  win-win.

facts: cora is taller than brady when they're sitting, but he is taller than her when they're standing.  guess her torso is longer!  he still outweighs her by a touch (chunker).  they are the cutest babies ever together!

p.s. we totally didn't plan their outfits today, but they both showed up for their play date wearing one piece hoody outfits.  soooo cute!!
