first haircut.

bubs got his first hair cut today, on his ten month birthday.  he was starting to get wings over his ears and a bit of a (cute) mullet in the back, so it was time.  he did really well at the kids salon we took him to, was just quiet & watched miss shirley the whole time.  he looked like such a big boy sitting up there by himself, and sooo handsome after with his new do!

the dancing stage has begun.  and we are sooo hopeful that bubs will love to shake his booty as much as we do around here.

we call this "centerfold."  it makes us laugh every time he does it!!  mid crawling, he turns around sometimes and looks back at us - and always puts his hand behind his leg like he's posing.  then he's quickly off again, but not before making us laugh!

snowy walk.

every day we get out for a walk.  bubs loves it and mags does too.  so unless it's actively precipitating, no matter how cold, we walk.  and it's always good for me too!

of course, the first day she was here jane & i had to make a run to target.  it's one of our favorite things to do together!  brady appreciated the photo props.

you LOVE this play table we borrowed from our friends.  cora is a big fan too.

brady's great-aunt sarah made him this cart securing belt!!  it's so awesome, holds him in so much better than the flimsy ones attached the cart.  he's very happy about it too.  well, either about that or the mustard selection.

daddy's home!

look who's home!!!

we are celebrating daddy's arrival back home big this weekend.  hunkering down & enjoying time together again.  we are so happy.

look who got here last night!!  we are so happy to have aunt jane in town for a visit!

bath time.

bath time remains our favorite time of day.  you are so happy splashing and playing with your toys, and you don't even mind water being poured all over your head.  and i love how you smell afterwards, and how soft your skin is, and how you lay your head on my shoulder after i lotion you & put on your jammies.  it's a sweet time for us both.

nature time.

i took you outside with me this morning to throw the ball for maggie in the green space.  of course, you're getting pretty heavy to hold these days so i set you down in the grass but you weren't so sure about it & started crying.  so i moved you over to the concrete drainage area & you were much happier to explore your surroundings that way.  things to work on: learning to like grass :)  you did however love the leaves & even discovered they taste pretty good!  so do rocks, who knew?

constant companion.

you two are obsessed with each other & every morning while you have breakfast you check behind you multiple times to see if she's still there.  and she always is.

as soon as you see a dog or cat, you start grunting and reaching your hand out towards them, and occasionally squeal.  it's so cute.

we have loved having maggie live with us as she has provided you with tons of entertainment & laughter.  maybe we can convince daddy to get us another puppy someday, haha!

cooper is the huntington cat & he is so docile and lets you and cora just maul all over him.  it's really sweet.  sometimes i come to his rescue thinking you're hurting him with your hair pulling, but then he goes right back over to you for more!

every single morning starts like this, now that you are newly crawling & enjoying every bit of your independence.  you bee-line straight for all the cool kitchen cabinets & drawers.  time to baby-proof!  you're almost ten months old and finally figured out how awesome it is to be on the move.

we had a playdate with miss cora today.  i think you are officially in love.  the two of you immediately crawl over to each other, put your foreheads together & "say hi."  so glad you have a bestie so close in age to grow up with here!!

i celebrated a birthday on march 11 by going out to a great dinner with my besties the night before & then hosting a bachelor-finale-watch-party the night of.  brady bug, you slept through both of them but i know you were happy it was my special day :)
