best time of day.

since starting a bedtime routine a couple weeks ago, evenings have become a favorite time of day for me.  brady is just happy as a clam to take his bath & get lotioned up & fed before going to bed.

he continues to absolutely LOVE his bath.  and i think we are getting pretty dang close to being done with the bathtub-on-the-kitchen-counter gig as he has discovered splashing which results in a tidal wave of water onto the floor every evening :)

but holy cow, have you ever seen anything cuter than a baby in a duck towel??

the rubber ducky is his favorite part of bath - perfect for chewing!

baby friends.

had b's friend cora over for a walk today.  she's a month younger than him, two inches longer but two pounds lighter.  i think that must mean she's long & skinny and brady is...chubs??

can't get enough.

babysitter.

sometimes mama just needs to take a shower when baby is awake & roly-poly all over the place so the babysitter of the day is the bathtub in my bathroom!!

discovery.

teething.

this is a constant look for us around here these days.  sophie & the teether are never far from arm's reach.  no teeth yet though!

aunt kake.

aunt kate got the nickname aunt kake from laney a few years ago - and it stuck. 

anyway, she picked us up from the airport after our new year's trip to missouri and she & B had some catch up time before bedtime that evening.  i think he's a big fan, and she looks pretty smitten herself.

travel.

little man's eighth flight (i guess 16th flight segment) since birth...not bad for a seven month old, who didn't fly til he was two months old :)

he is such a good traveler overall - although in this picture we were landing and it was naptime and he didn't want to talk about it.

community.

we are sooo lucky to have the community of friends here in foco that we have.  even though mike was gone from us for Christmas this year, we had so much love & support through our community.  i'm so, so grateful to have that here where i live so far from my family.

on Christmas afternoon after opening presents with grandma trish, sarah, kate & kevin - brady & i loaded up and headed over to rob & suzanne's house to hang out for a couple hours.

rob took these darling pictures for me which i just love.  i don't get to be in many photos with brady, being the family photographer:)  i love these.

rob & suz gave brady some super fun edgy blocks to play with when he's older and he loves them!  they are so funny - for example, one of the K blocks has "kitty litter" as it's word :)  haha!
