you walked!

buster - this is big news!  this morning on may 3, 2013 - you took your first steps!

you were hanging out in the bathroom with daddy & me while we got ready for the day.  you were doing your usual bathroom activity of digging in the trash, unrolling toilet paper, and getting into all the drawers & cabinets that don't have locks yet.  you are pretty fast at getting into a standing position now & cruising around as long as you can have a hand on something for balance.  anyway, i picked you up and set you down on the floor facing your daddy and he held your binky out as bait and you just walked right to him.  we both squealed & clapped for you & turned you around so you could walk back to mama.  and then back to daddy again.  you did it three times, taking two or three steps each time.

since then we've tried a million times to get you to take steps again but you're only interested in dropping to your bottom & crawling off.

but you walked, buddy.  crazy how fast time is going.
