we've been trying to do more tummy time lately...you're getting so good at holding your head up!

pillow talk.

one of our routines has become laying on our bed in the mornings when i take B upstairs with me to get ready for the day.  we lay on our fluffy duvet cover and "talk" :)  he always has lots to tell me & i love listening!!

blankie love.

we got this beautiful blankie from our friend traci in the mail this week.  i LOVE it, and B does too.  it's so soft & snuggly, perfect for afternoon naps.

i also busted it out this week for a "real" photoshoot, without just my iPhone ;)  love it in the background with brady just in a white onesie.  as erika said, sometimes a white onesie is the perfect outfit.

i love his personality these days.  he's bright eyed, watches me carefully, and smiles easily.  i love this little peanut more than i expected i could.

mornings.

lately B has been eating for the first time about 6am, and then falls back asleep for another hour or so.  this hour has become "me time" and i don't go back to bed...but head downstairs to get coffee, open up the blinds and let the day in quietly.  i love the early morning light and i'm grateful for how quiet the house is.  i usually get my coffee and head to the computer to just be jess.  not mommy or wifey or housecleaner or whatever.  just me.  (and my blogs)

inspired.

inspired by josie jackson's ability to take good naps in her crib, we tried that for the first time today.  i swaddled buster up & brought the monitor down to my desk to work in the office for awhile.

he would have none of it though, and flailed & cried until i went and got him - and put him in his usual napping spot, the swing :)  i guess he likes to fall asleep to the sound of the olympics!  oh well, we'll try again tomorrow!
